Dominguez Unit Release Paths

Fabian Dale Dominguez Unit is part of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, not the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. A person leaving Dominguez can enter the community on parole or mandatory supervision, complete the sentence through discharge, or move to another TDCJ unit. Only the first three paths can represent a release from prison. A unit transfer is still confinement.

Parole is conditional release following a Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles decision. 2. Otherwise enter the exact last name and at least the first initial, then use gender or race only to narrow results.
3. Compare the name, identifiers, offense, county, court, unit, sentence, and dates before selecting a match.
4. Read projected release and parole-review fields as future information, not proof of departure.
5. If the person no longer appears, request the actual release or discharge history from TDCJ.

Dominguez Parole Office Routing

Release from Dominguez on parole or mandatory supervision can lead to community reporting, but the prison address is not the reporting office. TDCJ maps Bexar County to Region IV's San Antonio parole offices. The county-to-office directory is the current source for that routing.

San Antonio III and the District Reentry Center share the NE Loop 410 address and main number. The San Antonio Board Office makes release decisions; it is not the routine reporting office. Verify the assigned office before travel because a Bexar connection alone does not identify a person's supervision location.

The difference between decision and supervision is basic. The Board decides parole and mandatory-supervision matters. TDCJ Parole Division supervises people released under those authorities. Neither role belongs to Bexar County CSCD, which handles court-ordered probation.

Dominguez Transfers and Detainers

A recorded departure from Dominguez does not always mean a return home. The person may transfer to another TDCJ unit, another sovereign may assume custody, or a release plan may include supervision. Check the destination or current unit before describing the event as community release.

An immigration detainer can add another custody stage. ICE defines a detainer as a request for notice and up to 48 additional hours so the Department of Homeland Security can assume custody. If an immigration transfer is documented, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator with an A-number and country of birth or exact biographical data. ICE says its locator can retain released ICE records for about 60 days. That federal record is separate from TDCJ's release history.

A county-to-state move works in the other direction. A Bexar jail row showing transfer can mark the end of county custody while TDCJ shows continued imprisonment at Dominguez. Review both dates. The receiving record determines whether custody truly ended or merely changed hands.

Note: A transfer closes one facility stay while custody continues, so the receiving agency must be checked before calling it release.

Dominguez Release Evidence Boundaries

Each official source answers a narrow question. The current TDCJ search can show present incarceration, unit, sentence details, and a projected date. The email channel can return some historical custody facts. BPP channels address parole review and release processing. Parole Division confirms the correct supervision route to the extent public information permits. A court record establishes the sentence and later case action.

These records should be read as a timeline. Start with the conviction and sentence, identify the current or last TDCJ unit, distinguish a projected date from an actual event, and then confirm parole, mandatory supervision, discharge, or transfer. If a later warrant or new arrest appears, date it separately. A new custody event does not erase the earlier Dominguez release.

Do not treat a pre-release program, favorable vote, or missing online result as the final event. Program work can precede departure. A Board vote can leave conditions and processing incomplete. A vanished current-only result requires a direct historical request. Together, the official records can establish what happened without turning an uncertain search result into a claim.
